Young Healthwatch Northamptonshire and Shooting Stars premier video about visit to Kettering General Hospital
The film was premiered on 16 April at Cineworld Northampton for the young people and professionals involved, parents and local health and care organisations.
NHS England has awarded a Celebrating Participation in Healthcare grant to Young Healthwatch Northamptonshire to showcase their work as an example of good practice in involving young people in healthcare.
The video shows the improvements made by Young Healthwatch and Shooting Stars in Kettering General Hospital and the importance of feedback from young people in creating a better experience for patients at the hospital.
During the visit young people spent time in the Paediatric Emergency Department, Paediatric Outpatients and on Skylark Children’s Ward. They spoke to patients and staff and were very impressed with the facilities the hospital had for children and young people.
